Since 2002 I have been writing and working with AFROsaxon. He has been the biggest influence on my rhyming and writing to music and we’ve made about five albums worth of tracks over the years. Many have been lost in hard drive crashes and other techno blunders. This is a collection of demo tracks that span pretty much from the beginning to just this year. It’s like listening to the evolution of my flow and style combined with the warm dug up production of the best beatmaker I know. You can hear the jokes.

‘KEEP IT SIMPLE’ EP - Session & The Bear £5
In 2006, before I even moved to London I met a producer called session who sent me a CD with a track to write to. I sat in brum and wrote the words to what became ‘Seven Thirty’. I sent him the rough recording of the vocal and he liked it.
When I moved to London we hooked up and wrote this EP in a couple of months and had it ready. We convinced ourselves that vinyl was the way forward and pressed a bunch of them with no distribution. I still have a few under my bed.
The tracks are definitely early examples of the narrative way I was trying to write and include ‘Fade to Black’ which is the original incarnation of ‘Jessica’.
Still a project I’m proud of so hope you enjoy it.

This is a recording of a live set I did at OneTaste west in 2007. Lots has happened since but I still think these pieces stand up. So for some straight spoken word, put this in your pipe and smoke it.
